Cell Phone Policy |
I encourage the RESPONSIBLE use of smart phones and other tech devices during class, as many students now have such devices which can enhance their educational experience.
The following are my simple cell phone policies:
ANY LOST OR STOLEN TECH DEVICES ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE STUDENT, so watch over your belongings. |
ChromebooksCHROMEBOOK NORMS 1.If green sign is up, take the device assigned to you 2 Inspect the casing, screen, and keyboard and report issues to the teacher immediately. Anything reported after the beginning of the class will be your responsibility. 3.“Ask 3 before you ask me ” Utilize peers’ expertise to help troubleshoot before asking teacher. 4.Absolutely no food or drink on your desk. 5.Keep all four corners of the device on your desk. 6.When walking with the device, you must have TWO hands on the devices at all times. 7.Return your device to the appropriate slot, with the charging port up and facing the front. 8.Plug in your device with the correct charger. Be aware that the charger is fragile, so plug with care. |
GAFEAll students will be expected to access their GGUSD GAFE (Google Apps For Education) account on a DAILY basis. If you don't yet know your account access information, you'll get it at the start of the year.
Not only will you use your GAFE account to access your Google Classroom and "G-Drive" on a regular basis, your GAFE gmail address is what this class will use for most classroom announcements and communications. It will also be the email that you will use to email me with. I will give a lesson on how to access this account and how to sync your GAFE accounts to your smart phones and personal gmail accounts for easier access. How to Access: Your Username: grad year + first initial + last name (+possible #) + @ ggusd.net [ex: [email protected]) Your Password: your 8 digit birthday All students will be required to CHANGE their passwords to their GAFE accounts. However, do NOT do this until directed. It will be an assignment for this class and your passwords will be shared with me (in case you forget!). |
Access to Online LearningGoogle Classroom is one of the main ways in which you will receive assignments and announcements, and turn in digital assignments.
You can also use Google Classroom to gain access to my "English Toolbox", a Google Drive folder for which you'll need to click "Add to My Drive" so you can have constant access to all of our Google Drive files. G-Drive is where nearly ALL of our work will take place. 2018-19 Access Codes: Period1: qsqgppv Period 2: cd27of Period 4: lunzbx Period 5: snc0e7e Period 6: cszghop Instructions: Log into your .net account.
